1.  A 22year oid man c/o right foot drop after a football match. O/E-
loss of ankle dorsiflxion and eversion, loss of sesation over the
lateral aspect of right leg and dorsum of the foot. What is the
diagnosis?


1. Sciatic nerve lesion
2. femoral   ,,    ,,
3. Peroneal  ,,    ,,
4. Tibeal    ,,    ,,
5. Obturator ,,    ,,


 


2.   A 50y, diabetic man with burning sesation of toe and sole. O/E
weakness of toe flexion. Dx ?


1. Sciatic nerve lesion
2. femoral   ,,    ,,
3. Peroneal  ,,    ,,
4. Tibeal    ,,    ,,
5. Obturator ,,    ,,



3.   35 year old man c/o left  lower leg weakness. O/E--weakness on knee
flexion,loss of sensation over lateral aspect of lower leg and
entire foot. Dx.?


1. Sciatic nerve lesion
2. femoral   ,,    ,,
3. Peroneal  ,,    ,,
4. Tibeal    ,,    ,,
5. L-5             ,,



4.   A 25-year-old man c/o weak rt. leg. O/E-sensation normal but
weakness in hip flexion and knee extention. Dx. ?


1. Sciatic nerve lesion
2. femoral   ,,    ,,
3. Peroneal  ,,    ,,
4. Tibeal    ,,    ,,
5. Obturator ,,    ,,


 5.    A 20-year-old man after a marathon race c/o left leg weakness. O/E-
power, tone and reflexes are normal.Only abnomality in hip adduction.
Dx?


1. Sciatic nerve lesion
2. femoral   ,,    ,,
3. Peroneal  ,,    ,,
4. Muscle weakness duo to metabolic changes
5. Obturator ,,    ,,

What is the mechanism by which an obbturator nerve lesion occurs following prolonged exertion as in this marathon runner?
